Dr. Samuel Wood, Reproductive Endocrinologist
Dr. Samuel Wood is an acclaimed reproductive endocrinologist in San Diego who specializes in infertility. After a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina, he completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at UCSD and is Board Certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Wood's distinguished academic background includes also a Master's degree in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics.
He is a member of the clinical faculty in the Department of Reproductive Medicine at the University of California in San Diego and is a member of many societies including the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SOCREI) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). He specializes in the assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and complex laparoscopic procedures. He has a particular interest in male factor, endometriosis and unexplained infertility.

Robyn O'Day, Surrogacy Program Coordinator
Robyn O’Day is dedicated to helping couples achieve their dreams of parenthood and handles all aspects of surrogacy with confidentiality, sensitivity and reverence. As Program Coordinator at The Select Surrogate, Robyn matches highly Select Surrogates with intended parents. She arranges and confirms all necessary screening for applicants, attends meetings between surrogates and intended parents, coordinates with healthcare professionals and provides ongoing support and communication to clients. Robyn ensures that every single match is given personal attention and commitment.
Robyn has extensive experience in successfully managing projects involving multiple parties. She is especially skilled at documentation review, communication facilitation, parent representation, and insuring that the best interests of all parties is achieved.
In 1996, Robyn graduated from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities. Robyn is an active member of the following organizations: RESOLVE, The National Infertility Association, American Fertility Association (AFA), and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).
Angela Scroop, Surrogate IVF Coordinator
Angela Scroop, Surrogate IVF Coordinator has over 12 years experience providing care to those with infertility. As a surrogate, egg donor and mother of three, Angela has first-hand knowledge of the rewards and challenges of each giving process. Angela enjoys helping Intended Parents achieve their dream of starting a family by making sure they get the highest quality, pre-screened surrogate mothers available. Angela understands how important it is for a child to get the best start in life, and a qualified, loving surrogate is the best place to begin.
Clinically, Angela has overseen the successful completion of hundreds of complicated procedures, including extensive third-party reproduction cases. Her outstanding organizational skills allow her to coordinate even the most complex plans with apparent ease.
Dr. Karen Hall, Psychological Screening Consultant
At The Select Surrogate, Dr. Karen Hall is responsible for conducting full psychological screenings and providing support for our elite surrogates. Dr. Hall is a California licensed psychologist with a specialty in third party family-building and infertility counseling. She completed her undergraduate degree with a major in Psychology at the University of California at Los Angeles. She continued on to earn her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Hall completed a highly competitive American Psychological Association internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Dr. Hall completed six years as an Officer and Psychologist in the Navy with a specialty in Anxiety Disorders and Women’s Issues. Dr. Hall became interested in infertility issues when she experienced her own unexpected difficulties starting a family; giving her a deep personal understanding of fertility struggles.
As a clinical consultant, Dr. Hall meets with individuals and couples who would like help coping with the many stressors associated with infertility. Dr. Hall trained with the groundbreaking Mind/Body Medical Institute at Harvard University. She incorporates mind/body interventions into her work with women & couples struggling with all aspects of infertility. She also sees prospective egg donors, surrogates and individuals and couples interested in third party family-building. Her professional associations include the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, RESOLVE, the American Psychological Association and the San Diego Psychological Association.
